Note the upper lateral in relation to lower cuspid.

Whenever possible, the position of the teeth in the opposing arch must be taken into consideration when introducing corrections to the anterior teeth in an arch. This can create limitations when teeth are treated in just one arch in that certain movements are restricted due to overlap of the opposing teeth.

Depending on the number of aligners used in treatment of the anterior teeth, some cases require one arch to achieve specific movements prior to making any changes on the second arch.

Check from the lingual and buccal to ensure there is enough overjet available to reset teeth without interference.

A request for single arch treatment may require treatment of the opposing arch to correct the mal-alignment.
